虚空蔵谷川畔の桜並木では、ソメイヨシノが、約７００ｍに渡り、こぼれんばかりに咲き乱れる。地元西八の桜並木愛護会で管理・保全されているこの桜並木で、南山城でも有数の花見スポットとなる。

Kokuzoudani River
"The trees lining 700m of the Kokuzoudani River are Yoshino (somei yoshino) cherry trees. They appear to overflow with blossom in spring, bowing over the river and path. This is one of few hanami spots in southern Yamashiro."
