元亀2（1571）年永春法印を中興開山として再興されたと伝えられる。もとは木津川畔にあったが川の氾濫により現在地に移り、村内安全の祈願場所として建立されたといわれる。ご本尊は、室町時代中頃につくられたとされる大日如来坐像。平成12（2000）年に市の文化財に指定された。明治時代初期、養福寺と合併し、不動明王像、大般若経などを当寺に移している。

Daitoku Temple
"It is said that this temple was rebuilt in the second year of the Genki era (1571). Though it was by the Kizugawa liver originally, it moved to the present location because of the overflow of the liver as the place to pray security of the village."
