この地には昔から鉾立の松があり、俗に「はらまつ」と呼んでいたが、昭和20年代に枯死した。伝説では、この鉾立の松は神功皇后がここを通過したとき、行列の鉾が並んだ最後の地点であったという。先頭は、ここより南1.1キロメートルの地点に「鉾立の杉」があり「松」と「杉」の中間に「不違の池」がある。神功皇后の父は、息長宿禰王（おきながすくねおう）で、祖父は迦爾米雷（かにめいかづち）王で天王集落の朱智神社の祭神である。神功皇后の通過伝説は、ここから相楽郡にかけて多い。

Hokodate pines
"The pine trees of Hokodate have been since the past in this place and were commonly called Haramatsu, but they withered and died in 1940s. The regend says that the place where they were was the last point where the parade of Hoko standed in a line when Jingu empress passed through the place. There was the head of the parade,Cedars of Hokodate in the south point from the last point ,and the distance between the head and the last point is 1.1 kilometers. There is the pond in the middle of the pine trees and Cedars."
