当社は昭和初期、篤志家により再建された。瘡（そう）神社・痘瘡（いも）神社ともいわれ、瘡を患う者の平癒祈願の信仰がある。 景勝地にあり、春には桜が美しい名所となっている。また、市内最高峰にあるため、京田辺市はもとより遠く京都市まで見ることができる。 境内には本殿、拝殿、社務所がある。その他舞台や不動尊を安置。

Kasagami Shrine
"At first, it was founded by Tokushi-ka(benefactor) in the beginning of Syowa-era. It's called ""Sou shrine"" or ""Imo shrine"" and holded faith by Sou patients. It's in fine spot and you can see beautiful cherry blossoms in spring. In addition, it's on the highest mountain in Kyotanabe. So you can see not only Kyotanabe but also Kyoto city."
