いつからこの大池が存在したのかは不明だが、明治年間に大規模な拡張工事を行った記録が残っている。農業を営む人々にとってこの池の存在は大きく、用水確保のための重要な工事だったことが伺える。 木々が大池をぐるりと囲み、初夏の青葉、秋の紅葉、大きな池をわたる風のさざ波、そんな美しい眺めを目にすることができる。昔は泳ぐ子どもたちも大勢いたようだ。今でも、休日に散策を楽しむ人の姿が見られる。近くに酒屋神社がある。

Kodo Pond
"It is not clear when this big pond first built, though there is document of expansion during Meiji era. We can estimate that it was important expasion for farmers to keep water supply. In past, there was a lot children swimming in this pond. Today, we can see people enjoy taking a walk. Sakaya shrine is nearby this pond."
