承久3（1221）年に大住家友が建立。 地元の人には「こくぞうさん」の愛称で親しまれている。以前は法輪山葛井寺と呼ばれ、旧石碑により当時を偲ぶことができる。 足利義満の時代に兵火で寺は焼失したが、お堂だけが残り、現在に至る。 ご本尊は、知恵と福徳にご利益があるといわれている虚空蔵菩薩。一説には京都嵯峨野嵐山にある虚空蔵菩薩の原像とも伝えられる。

Kokuzou Temple
"In 1221, Ietomo Osumi founded this hall. It's called ""Kokuzou-san"" by citizens. In the era of Yoshimistsu Ashikaga, the temple had been burnt down, but the hall is left still now.The principle image is Kokuzuo-bosatsu and it is told people often gain wisdom and general good luck."
