碑隠 昭和四十九年三月建立 田辺町文化財保護委員会 十六の渡しともいう。河内・大和方面から普賢寺川沿いの道を経て、奈島・宇治田原に出る主要な渡しであり、草内と対岸の十六を結んでいた。 また、府道･国道の性格をもっており、市内に最後まであった渡し。昭和39年4月に山城大橋ができたため、50余年の歴史を閉じた。 山城大橋から堤防を南に入っていくところにある。

Kusauchi ferry site
"This is also called the ferry ruins of Zyuroku .This had connected Kusauchi and the opposite short,Zyuroku.And this had a role of national roads.Therefore this remained to the end.This had been used for over 50 years,but this was closed because Yamashiro bridge was built in April In1964.Thereis the ferry ruins of Kusauchi in the southern entrance of the dike from Yamashiro bridge."
