天王の地名伝説 天王とはすなわち神のことである。この地には朱智神社があり、その主神である迦爾米雷命（かにめいかづちのみこ）を朱智天王と呼び、称え奉ったことから、天王の地名が生まれたと考えられている。 迦爾米雷命は神功皇后（じんぐうこうごう）の祖父といわれ、その子孫は息長氏と称していた。
